26-04-2010: Kent Youth Trial and Kent Air Ambulance charity trial

There is a Kent Youth Trial in conjunction with a charity trial at Harbledown on the 16 May to raise funds for Kent Air Ambulance. There will be routes for all levels of rider from beginners to white route riders.

Entry will be on the day (10.30 start), everyone is welcome as long as you have an ACU card so mums and dads are also welcome to ride. The cost is slightly higher as it’s to raise money for charity. Child entry is £15 and adults are £20.

Harbledown is a very large wood, so the lap is likely to be over a mile. For those walking with children you might want to do each section more than once so that you don’t have to walk round so many times (or only walk round once). Car parking is not next to the sections so it’s probably best to take some food and drink with you (and fuel!).

Car parking is at China Farm, Plough Lane, Upper Harbledown, near Canterbury, CT2 9AR.

Directions to China Farm: take the M2 signposted Dover and then the A2 signposted Canterbury, Dover, Channel Tunnel. As you come towards Canterbury branch left (signposted Upper Harbledown, Chartham Hatch). Turn right then turn right again into Roman Road, turn left into Plough Lane. Look out for the marker arrows.
